Transformation complete

Transforming a sloping Bakewell garden with unwanted fish-pond and pump house was a challenge eagerly faced by Tim Biddlecombe and the English Garden Landscapes team - take a few minutes to see how the garden was and how it now is...! The finished project has delivered a terraced, cottage garden with formal planting, large lawn and discreet car parking area from what was originally a sloping plot with unwanted water feature.

When new owners purchased this large property at Monsal Head near Bakewell in Derbyshire, they decided that the garden need a complete re-think and overhaul. In fact, it was a ground-up restoration project that required the cohesion of a number of landscaping skills including hard landscaping, planting, walling, paving, joinery and building.
Thankfully, Tim and the English Garden Landscapes team managed to deliver not just a creative vision for the project but also the realisation of a first class, value-adding and prestigious garden that the property owners will be able to grow into and enjoy for many years to come.

The owners built a garage and glass house. They wanted the surrounding garden to blend in with their original planting scheme. Specimen sized box hedging was planted as well as additional roses and as mature trees.
